ReadyStudy connectors
Connect ReadyStudy to your AI assistant.
Use an MCP-capable assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT to author a quiz, optionally ground it in lessons you select, and save the result to your Child’s ReadyStudy library.
Connect at mcp.readystudy.app/mcp
How it works
You stay in control of the connection.
MCP, or Model Context Protocol, is a standard that lets an AI assistant call a small, clearly defined set of ReadyStudy tools. It does not give the assistant open access to your account.
- 01
Start from your AI assistant
Add the ReadyStudy connector from a supported MCP-capable assistant. A browser window opens for authorization.
- 02
Sign in and choose a family
Sign in with ReadyStudy, choose the family account to connect, and review the exact permissions requested.
- 03
Choose lesson context
If you approve lesson access, select up to 10 saved lessons whose extracted text can ground the quiz.
- 04
Review and save the quiz
The assistant authors the questions. ReadyStudy validates them again and saves the quiz for the selected Child.
What it can do
- List the Children in the family account you approved
- Validate quiz questions before anything is saved
- Create a new ReadyStudy quiz for one Child
- List saved lesson titles and metadata
- Read extracted text from 1–10 lessons you select
What it cannot do
- Create, edit, or delete lessons
- Open original lesson photos or PDFs
- Read quiz attempts, answers, grades, or activity history
- Access billing, family-member details, or child-device credentials
- Access another ReadyStudy family account
Permissions
Approve only what you want to use.
The authorization screen shows the requested capabilities in plain language. Lesson access is a separate permission from creating quizzes.
children:readView Children
Lists each Child’s name, grade level, language, and connector-safe identifier.
quizzes:writeCreate quizzes
Validates and imports an externally authored quiz into ReadyStudy.
lessons:readRead selected lessons
Lists lesson metadata and reads extracted text only from explicitly selected lessons.
Privacy by boundary.
The connector is separate from ReadyStudy’s admin tools. Its token is bound to the one family account you choose, and ReadyStudy checks that you are still a member on every request.
Lesson originals stay private
Grounding returns capped extracted text—not photos, PDFs, storage links, or search embeddings. The selected text is processed by the AI assistant you connected, subject to that service’s terms and privacy policy.
ReadyStudy validates every import
A quiz is checked again when saved, and retries cannot create accidental duplicates. Because the external assistant authors it, importing a quiz makes no ReadyStudy AI call and does not use ReadyStudy AI credits.
Connect your assistant
Add ReadyStudy in a few clicks.
Use the connection addressmcp.readystudy.app/mcp. A browser window opens for you to sign in with ReadyStudy and approve access.
